DENVER (KDVR) — A "large boulder the size of a small car" caused traffic delays Saturday after it was in the center of a popular highway in San Miguel County. San Miguel County Sheriff's Office posted to Facebook, saying, "Not kidding — There’s a large boulder the size of a small car in the center of Highway 145 mile marker 75.5 (about 3 miles North of Keystone Hill just past Deep Creek shop)." The photos of the boulder taken by the sheriff's office show its size, which can be seen near stopped vehicles on the major road: Deputies were on scene and directing traffic through alternating lanes. The boulder was moved, and both lanes of traffic were open as of 1:20 p.m.
