Caitlin Clark has scrapped a public appearance of waiving the green flag for qualifying for the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, hours after her clash with Angel Reese.
Clark was scheduled to be with Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White at the flag stand to signal the start of the event, but is no longer appearing reportedly due to a 'scheduling conflict'.
Reese's clash with Clark on Saturday saw two of the faces of the sport nearly come to blows after a foul committed by the point guard.
The duo were eventually separated by their teammates, with Clark picking up a flagrant foul and Reese being assessed a technical.
White and Clark's appearance was slated for 1 p.m. local time at the race track, with it being changed only a few hours before.
White will now be joined by Clark's Fever teammates Aliyah Boston, Sophie Cunningham, and Makayla Timpson for the event, per the Indianapolis Star.

The Fever dominated the Sky, winning by a final score of 93-58, with Indiana looking dominant to begin Clark and Reese's sophomore professional seasons.
Clark and Reese met four times during their rookie WNBA seasons, with the Fever victorious three times.
Both Clark and Reese were named WNBA All-Stars last season and helped take down Team USA during their only loss last summer before they won a gold medal at the Olympics.
It was during the LSU-Iowa national championship game in 2023 where Reese's point at her ring finger in Clark's face appeared to be the catalyst for the rise in popularity of women's basketball.
Now, the confrontation, which Clark maintains was not malicious, has set the tone for the WNBA season.
