The 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has sent a frenzy across the country among cricket lovers. With a series of controversies already surrounding the tournament, it seems like the fans have now also joined in the list with frequent fights inside cricket stadiums. One such instance was recently spotted during the IPL match between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday, April 16.
In videos circulating online, a few male spectators could be seen getting into a heated argument. While the reason behind their fight remains unclear, it seems like the individuals are fighting over seating arrangements around them, with one of them intruding on the other’s space.

The fight caught the attention of fellow spectators, who tried to calm down the fight. The security personnel later had to intervene and disperse the dispute.
The video comes on the heels of another similar incident at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday during the match between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians. In a video circulating on the internet, a bunch of fans were seen getting physically violent, beating each other up. The group also included a female fan who was seen thrashing another person, creating a chaotic situation.

The police officials reached the site and restored order, with a female fan later walking away. With back-to-back fights erupting at the stadium, it has raised concerns regarding crowd control and safety at such major sporting events.
Coming back to the April 16 IPL match, Delhi Capitals defeated Rajasthan Royals in the first Super Over of IPL 2025. Both Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals are set for the next matches on Saturday, April 19, against Gujarat Titans and Lucknow SuperGiants, respectively.
