CARNBEE/MT PLEASANT FC triumphed in the weekend’s Tobago derby, defeating Bethel United 2–0 in Group 1 of the Trinidad and Tobago Premier Football League Tier 2 competition on Saturday. Dareon Moses gave Carnbee/Mt Pleasant FC the lead in the 22nd minute, capitalising on a poor clearance from the goalkeeper. Akiel Holdford then doubled their advantage late on, finishing at the back post in the 89th minute. Elsewhere, Group 1 leaders Malabar Youngstars edged another Tobago side, Sidey’s SC, 1–0, courtesy of an 18th-minute strike from Ronaldo Boyce. In Group 2, leaders Defence Force left Guayaguayare with a 3–2 victory over Guaya United, with former TT Pro League striker Dwight Quintero scoring in either half. Josiah Superville was also on target for Defence Force.
