THE IRELAND WOMEN’S football team have suffered their heaviest defeat since 2018 after being stunned by Slovenia in Koper.
Carla Ward’s side trailed 3-0, 34 minutes into her second game in charge. Goals from Lara Prašnikar (two) Zara Kramžar and Nina Kajzba earned a famous Nations League win for Slovenia — ranked 14 places below Ireland.
