Conor McGregor has found himself seemingly getting outclassed in an exchange on X after taking a jab at actor Liam Cunningham over the recent Freedom Flotilla crisis. The flotilla was recently intercepted in international waters by Israeli forces. The ship, Madleen, had 12 people onboard, including activists and a journalist. The volunteers were reportedly kidnapped, and contact with the vessel was lost.Cunningham, an active supporter of the mission, condemned the raid in a post that quickly gained traction. McGregor then responded with a mocking post, questioning Cunningham’s absence from the ship and calling him a "bottler." He wrote:"I thought you were on this boat Liamo, what happened? You forgot your goggles? You got seasick off the gargle? Bottler!"Cunningham, who played the character of seasoned sailor Davos Seaworth in the HBO series Game of Thrones, fired back with a sharp retort, mocking McGregor’s history of tapping out in fights. He replied:"Didn't know you could read and write Conor. Thought you used your hands to just tap out."Check out the full exchange below:Since then, McGregor has quietly deleted his X post. The incident comes amid heightened global attention on Israel’s blockade of Gaza and the treatment of humanitarian missions attempting to deliver aid.The Madleen was reportedly carrying essentials such as baby formula, water kits, medical supplies and food. The operation aimed to break the blockade in an attempt to deliver relief to Gaza’s besieged population.Craig Jones explains why replicating Conor McGregor’s stardom is unrealisticCraig Jones broke down why only a few fighters can reach the level of stardom Conor McGregor achieved. According to Jones, many athletes entering the UFC dream of huge paydays and global fame, but the reality of the sport is far less glamorous. Most UFC fighters struggle financially, and the path to becoming a mainstream star is filled with challenges. Jones pointed out that while the UFC holds unmatched prestige, the dream of becoming the next McGregor is unrealistic for most.Speaking on the B-Team YouTube channel, Jones said:"I would say that most of the time when people move to the UFC, they're thinking about their own bank accounts, more or less. Even if that is based on correct or incorrect information, or their understanding about how combat sports works as a whole... The sad realization is everyone thinks they're gonna be Conor McGregor, they're going to make Conor McGregor money, they're gonna get Conor McGregor stardom. But, there's only one Conor McGregor. The stars of the UFC, it's tough out there. MMA as a whole is not a very high-paying sport."Check out Craig Jones' comments below
