Coronation Street star Claire Sweeney has been heard gushing about one of her 'handsome' castmates as she opened up about her life on the Cobbles so far. The actress arrived in the ITV soap as Evelyn Plummer's daughter and Tyrone Dobbs' real mum back in the summer of 2023. After her initial confronation with her mum, Cassie revealed her identity to Tyrone and has since made herself part of his and his children's lives. She was quick to ruffle feathers on the Street and in more recent months, Cassie has found herself in the fold at No.1 Coronation Street, as she became Ken's carer after he fell down the stairs and fractured his pelvis. But all of that's been turned on its head with Cassie being disowned by her son and being turfed out of their family home after it was revealed she'd been drugging Ken with antihistamines to keep him drowsy so he'd need her. Away from playing the role of Cassie, Claire was revealed at the first guest on the new 'vodcast' which sees stars of both Corrie and Emmerdale talking about their life and careers. The new series, titled 'Off Script', is hosted by former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher and his wife Liz, who fans best know for showing the realities of running their family farm in Cheshire. And it was during Claire's chat that the former Brookside star was heard talking about her Corrie co-star Jacob Roberts, describing him as "good looking," only a short while after parting ways with ex-beau Ricky Hatton. The 53-year-old actress praised the actor, who plays Weatherfield's DC Kit Green, saying: "I tell you what, he's a good-looking bugger isn't he? He's handsome and a really nice guy, a lovely, lovely lad." Romance blossomed for Claire and former boxer Ricky when they both took part in Dancing on Ice at the start of last year, despite having met each other on and off for two decades. The breakup came before Christmas and asked about the split, Claire told MailOnline : "I'm great - we're still friends, we were friends, we dated and now we're friends again. It's all good!" Claire expressed her admiration for fellow actor Jack P Shepherd, who has been back at the centre of the latest drama in Weatherfield as David Platt. Claire said: "I love old Corrie and I was looking at some footage the other day when he was a kid, coming in ordering a pint in the Rovers. Even then you could see what a great little actor he is and he's really proving his chops at the moment, he's such a good actor."
