Why does the FA Cup final start at 4:30pm
The FA Cup final will start at 4.30pm BST this year.This is due to BBC wanting to cover all their bases ahead of the Eurovision song contest later in the day, and were pushing for a 3pm kick-off time.ITV were pushing for a 5.30pm kick-off to maximise viewership and advertisement.As such, the pair settled on 4.30pm BST.
