MS Dhoni will make his return as the captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Friday (April 11). The legendary captain has replaced Ruturaj Gaikwad, who has been ruled out of the season due to an elbow fracture. Dhoni last led CSK in the IPL 2023 final, which they won by defeating Gujarat Titans. Dhoni captained CSK on a full-time basis from 2008 to 2015. He returned as their captain in 2018 and led the team till 2021. Dhoni handed over the job to Ravindra Jadeja for IPL 2022 but returned to the top job after 8 matches. They have only managed 1 win from 5 matches and can be ruled out early if they lose few more matches.
