Jadeja has scalped 135 wickets for CSK. He is CSK's fifth-highest run-scorer and second-highest wicket-taker. Dwayne Bravo, the only other CSK bowler to scalp 100 scalps, scored 1004 runs for the franchise. Jadeja joined CSK in the IPL 2012 mini-auction and has been with them since then. He was retained before the IPL 2014 mega-auction and was picked before the IPL 2018 mega-auction. CSK retained him before the next two IPL mega-auctions. Jadeja replaced MS Dhoni as CSK's captain for IPL 2022 but he was removed mid-season after the Yellow Army only managed to win 2 out of 8 matches under him. Jadeja remained with CSK for IPL 2023 and hit the winning runs for them in the final. Jadeja and Dhoni now play under Ruturaj Gaikwad's captaincy.
