All-rounder Deandra Dottin will miss the upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup qualifiers in Lahore, Pakistan, due to injury.
Cricket West Indies announced the squad today and revealed that Dottin, along with Nerissa Crafton and Djenaba Joseph, are out, with Stafanie Taylor, Chinelle Henry, and Rashada Williams in.
Williams joins the squad after impressing with her performances in the CG United Women’s Super50 Cup.
The full West Indies Women’s squad reads: Hayley Matthews (captain), Shemaine Campbelle (vice), Aaliyah Alleyne, Afy Fletcher, Cherry Ann Fraser, Shabika Gajnabi, Jannillea Glasgow, Chinelle Henry, Zaida James, Qiana Joseph, Mandy Mangru, Ashmini Munisar, Karishma Ramharack, Taylor, and Williams.
The qualifier is scheduled for April 9th to 19th, and the team was scheduled to depart today for a pre-tournament camp in the UAE, before moving on to Pakistan.
Only two spots are available for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, to be hosted in India in October to November this year.
