Cricket West Indies is targeting bumper crowds for the upcoming men’s and women’s home series, set to bowl off in Barbados next month.
The governing body for regional cricket has introduced a new policy allowing free entry for children attending Test cricket matches across the Caribbean.
This was announced by CWI Chief Executive Officer Chris Dehring during the official launch of the series today at Kensington Oval.
President of Cricket West Indies, Dr. Kishore Shallow, is hopeful that the free admission for children will lead to an increase in spectators.
The West Indies Women will take on South Africa Women in three ODIs and three T20s starting 1st June at the 3Ws Oval.
Meanwhile, the men’s side are set to face Australia in three Tests and five T20s beginning 25th June, followed by three T20s and three ODIs against Pakistan between July and August.
