Danny Jones' I'm A Celeb co-star Melvin Odoom found himself in an uncomfortable position as he was questioned about the alleged "kiss" with Maura Higgins live on Good Morning Britain. Stepping into the role of entertainment editor for Richard Arnold on Monday (March 17) morning, Melvin chatted with hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley about the latest gossip from the entertainment industry. Susanna initiated the conversation, reports the Manchester Evening News , by noting: "Two of your campmates are front page news." To which Melvin responded: "Yes." Susanna went on to say: "Married pop star Danny Jones, former Love Islander Maura Higgins. Caught on camera last week. This morning, Danny's wife, this is according to the The Sun, has moved out of her home with Danny Jones and is staying with friends". Susanna added: "I find it very awkward these stories." Melvin interjected: "First of all, you guys don't hold hold back. Straight in with the hard stories." The GMB host replied: "Do you know what, it's on the front of The Sun this morning and this has been developing over the last couple of days. It's obviously a private matter for them. You were in the jungle with Danny and Maura." Melvin opened up about the camaraderie formed during their time in the jungle, revealing: "The things is we've all got a WhatsApp group, we all got on in the jungle. The other day was Danny's birthday and we all wished him a happy birthday. "In regards to this story it's not my business and that's it. That's all I'll say on that. I got on with everyone in there and I wish them all the best." Susanna then swiftly redirected the interview to another topic. The Sun has reported that after the alleged "kiss" with Maura, Danny's wife Georgia has vacated their family home and is staying with a pal. One insider disclosed: "They're not together and she is working out what she wants to do." In a recent turn of events, Danny issued an earnest public apology directed at Georgia and his family, saying: "Sorry it's taken me a while to post this but I've taken some time out to be with those closest to me. "I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we'll continue to deal with this privately."
