The Traitors Ireland will premiere on Sunday, 31 August, with Derry Girl’s Siobhan McSweeney as host. It’s shot in Slane Castle and will see contestants battle it out for a potential prize of €50,000. Siobhan McSweeney will host The Traitors IrelandRTÉ It will air on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays and will be accompanied by The Traitors Ireland Uncloaked, which will offer post-show analysis. The Late Late Show meanwhile is back on Friday, 12 September and we’ll get a third season of The 2 Johnnies’ Late Night Lock-In. Elsewhere, Dermot Bannon will give viewers a look inside the homes of some famous faces in Celebrity Super Spaces, with access to the UK residences of Clodagh McKenna and Joanne McNally. A TV adaptation of Marian Keyes’ best-selling novels will also air on RTÉ with comedy-drama The Walsh Sisters. First look at The Walsh SistersRTÉ Set in their Dublin hometown, The Walsh Sisters will follow the lives of Anna, Rachel, Maggie, Claire and Helen as they navigate their late 20s and 30s. There’s also a range of property programmes returning, such as Room to Improve, The Great House Revival, Build Your Own Home, and DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland. First Dates also returns with a new batch of singletons, as does Ireland’s Fittest Family with some brand-new coaches. Ellen Keane, Michael Darragh MacAuley, and Andrew Trimble who will go up against veteran coaches Davy Fitzgerald, Anna Geary and Donncha O’Callaghan, with Laura Fox presenting the revamped series. Brendan O'Connor in The EmployABLEsRTÉ Elsewhere, RTÉ is releasing a variety of factual and documentary programming, including The EmployABLEs. Meanwhile, The Shift: Cork University Hospital will take viewers behind-the-scenes of CUH for a series that was filmed over the course of six months. Meat Loaf: Rock Bottom in Ireland brings viewers back to 1990, when the rock star performed in some of the country’s most unlikely venues during a chaotic two-week journey. A two-part documentary, Dev’s Rise and Rule, is also planned for the 50th anniversary of Éamon de Valera, as well as a documentary to mark the 250th anniversary of Daniel O’Connell’s birth. The Records Show with Katie HannonRTÉ And while RTÉ cancelled Upfront with Katie Hannon in June, she will present a new series interviewing presidential candidates, as well as host The Records Show, which explores Ireland’s National Archives. There’s stuff for the kids too with the return of the Puffin Rock TV series, as well as a brand new movie Puffin Rock and the New Friends.
