DOTr chief says SUV crash at NAIA Terminal 1 'unintentional'

Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon said the crash of a black SUV into the walkway of NAIA Terminal 1, which rammed through the outer railing and onto the walkway near the entrance, was unintentional on Sunday.Dizon, speaking at a press conference after an initial investigation, confirmed that they had reached out to the Philippine National Police (PNP), New NAIA Infra Corp., and Manila International Airport Authority Security for further investigation."Ayaw ko muna magsabi ng ibang detalye at ongoing ang investigation. He said that the investigation is ongoing and let the PNP do their job in handling the investigation.He also reassured the public that the victims are already receiving proper medical care in San Juan De Dios hospital.Dizon encourages the public to respect the victims and refrain from taking advantage of the incident by posting footages of the incident. "Let's not use these footages for mileage," he added.Two dead, four injuredAs of this writing, the PNP reported that two people have been confirmed dead due to the incident: a 5-year-old girl and a 28-year-old man. Meanwhile, four individuals were identified as injured: a 34-year-old woman, a 4-year-old girl, a 55-year-old woman, and another woman whose age was not disclosed. The report indicated that the latter refused hospital transport, as her injuries were deemed minor.
