Star India batter Ruturaj Gaikwad scored a duck, whereas Sarfaraz Khan was retired out after scoring a hundred in India’s intra-squad game in Beckenham on Saturday, June 14, according to a report in The Indian Express. The team is gearing up for a gruelling five-match Test series against England, starting June 20 in Leeds. While BCCI had informed on Friday that KL Rahul and skipper Shubman Gill had scored half-centuries on Day 1 of the game, with Shardul Thakur being among the wickets, no such update was provided on Saturday. BCCI although posted a bunch of pictures from the game on the day, where Ravindra Jadeja was seen bowling with Sarfaraz on the crease, and most importantly, ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah was also seen bowling. ? ? If Sundar was given two chances to bat, it can be expected that the Indian team management is looking to give him a spot in the XI, which can be achieved only by benching Jadeja.
