Operatives of the Uyo Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) arrested 10 suspected internet fraudsters on Thursday, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
According to a statement on its X handle, five suspects were apprehended at Shelter Afrique while others were arrested at Ifa, off Oron Road.

The suspects were allegedly involved in a sting operation at different locations in Uyo.
“Two of the arrested suspects are undergraduates, three are online cloth vendors, one forex trader and another one film director
“Items covered from them include 21 mobile phones, six laptops, one international passport and three luxury cars
“The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” the statement read.
