Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus has stuck with the tried and tested for the Rugby Championship tour to New Zealand.
Out of the 38 players who were part of the squad for the two matches against Australia, 36 players will travel to New Zealand for the two test matches against the All Blacks.
With wings Kurt-Lee Arendse and Edwill van der Merwe injured, Makazole Mapimpi who was called up as a late replacement last week will make the trip down under.
The only other player from the squad for the matches against the Wallabies to miss out, is utility forward Cobus Wiese.
He’s been placed on standby.
The first test against the All Blacks on the 6th September will be played at Eden Park in Auckland where the Springboks have never tasted success before.
The second test in a week later is scheduled for the capital, Wellington.
