If you’ve ever dreamed of swapping the daily grind for a life surrounded by lochs, rolling green hills, and Highland cows, this could be your moment. Highland Holidays is on the lookout for enthusiastic new managers to take the reins at its “amazing holiday park” on the west coast. Based just a five-minute drive from the charming town of Oban, this is a rare chance to lead operations at one of Scotland’s most scenic destinations. Set across 350 acres of lush countryside, Oban Holiday Park offers sweeping views over the loch and even has its own herd of Highland cows. According to Highland Holidays' official website , the park is located in Gallanachmore, with “magnificent views to the Island of Kerrera.” While you'll feel "a million miles away from the bustle of modern life," Oban's town centre is just three miles down the road, offering everything from shops and restaurants to an 18-hole golf course and local cinema. "Look out for tweed mill bargains," the site suggests, and for those seeking a leisurely pace, a "summer evening stroll along the fishing pier" or a walk along the Esplanade to admire visiting yachts is a must. The family-run business, which also owns the Ben Nevis Holiday Park and Tyndrum Holiday Park, describes the Oban Holiday park as “dog-friendly and family-oriented” and is looking for “dedicated and enthusiastic” individuals or couples to manage day-to-day operations. The successful candidates will be responsible for everything from housekeeping and contractor oversight to boosting holiday bookings and on-site sales. "This position would suit an energetic, active, friendly, outgoing, self-motivated team," the job listing states. "They must be able to use their own initiative to assist in maintaining and improving our growing park." Experience in holiday parks or a similar environment is preferred, and applicants should be confident leading a multi-disciplinary team. Strong leadership, customer service, and problem-solving skills are a must, not to mention a genuine love for working with both people and animals. From five-star lodges with hot tubs to scenic touring pitches, Oban Holiday Park is a popular getaway that requires hands-on, customer-focused management. The role also includes working closely with the marketing and senior management teams to drive growth and deliver “the highest standard of customer service.” The full-time position comes with a negotiable salary, bonus and commission structure, and the chance to work in one of the most breathtaking parts of the country. While two days off per week are standard, peak season may require more flexibility. For those ready to embrace a dynamic, rewarding lifestyle in rural Scotland, Highland Holidays says this is your chance to “lead them to great things.” And with Oban as your base, you’ll be perfectly positioned to explore the stunning Hebrides, including the islands of Kerrera, Lismore, Mull, Tiree, and Coll, which are all accessible by ferry from the town.
