Eze Anaba Re-Elected As NGE President, Ukoh Emerges General Secretary

ENUGU – The Nigerian Guild of Editors has re-elected Charles Eze Anaba as its National President for another two-year term, while Onuoha Ukoh emerges as the new General Secretary.
The Convention held at International Confrence Centre Enugu attracted over 400 editors from across Nigeria.
Among the dignitaries in attendance were founder of Channels Television, Dr. John Momoh; former Ogun State Governor, Chief Segun Osoba; ex-NDDC Chairman, Chief Onyema Ugochukwu among others.
Anaba was returned unopposed, a testament to his exceptional leadership and administrative skills.
Others elected includes, Onuoha Ukoh, Managing Director of The Sun newspaper, won the position of General Secretary with 218 votes, defeating Wole Sogunle and Qasim Akinreti who garnered 45 and 30 votes respectively.
Other excutive members are, Deputy President, Sabastine Abu Vice Presidents, WestKarbi Alabi, Treasurer, Iyobosa Uwugiaren, Assistant Secretary, Gabriel Fulaj
Members elected into the Standing Committee from various zones are: Rose Moses, Ejiro Umukoro, Olabisi Deji-Folutile, Juliet Bumah, Umoru Ibrahim, Paulyn Ugbodaga, Chinedu Max Egere, and Ikpong Essien-Udoh.
