FA Cup final team news announced as Crystal Palace and Man City confirm line-ups
@Source: mirror.co.uk
Teams news for the FA Cup final has been confirmed. Crystal Palace and Manchester City have announced their starting line-ups ahead of the 4:30pm kick-off - and there are no surprises either camp.
Erling Haaland starts his second successive game for City after returning from injury for their goalless draw with Southampton last Saturday. Stefan Ortega gets the nod in goal ahead of Ederson, having shared the gloves in the previous rounds.
It's an attacking City line-up, with Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne named as a midfield paring. There's no Mateo Kovacic on the bench.
For Palace, Adam Wharton starts after missing the Eagles' 2-0 win at Tottenham on Sunday because of an ankle problem. Daichi Kamada has got the nod over Jefferson Lerma to partner Wharton in midfield.
Oliver Glasner's Palace are bidding to lift the club's first ever major trophy while City are looking to win the FA Cup for the eighth time. Pep Guardiola's City have reached the last three finals, as many as Palace have managed in their entire history.
Glasner is targeting a David versus Goliath-esque upset, saying: "What we always talk about is that we don't change our approach to a game, even if Man City are seen as the Goliath and we are the David. But you always have a chance to win a game and this is the approach.
"This, from day one, is what we want to do, go onto the pitch and try to win the game. Whoever is the opposition, whoever we are playing against, we be ourselves, show our strengths.
"I think we can win when we show our strengths. We can't rely on Manchester City giving us a lot of gifts, so we want to show the amazing talents that we have in our team as a team and then it's possible."

Guardiola said: "We want to win for our fans. The guys who travel, I want to say thank you for coming to London. Winning is much better than losing, but last year we came into having won four in a row and maybe our mind was not perfect. But one year later we are there again."
Crystal Palace (5-3-2): Henderson; Munoz, Richards, Lacroix, Guehi, Mitchell; Wharton, Kamada; Sarr, Eze; Mateta
Man City (4-2-3-1): Ortega; Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol, O'Reilly; Silva, De Bruyne; Savinho, Marmoush, Doku; Haaland
