NADI, 13 March 2025 – The FIJI Water Foundation (FWF) has officially launched its highly anticipated 2025 Classroom Grants program that provides up to FJ$5,000 in funding to certified educators for projects that enhance literacy, numeracy, mental well-being, and teaching innovation in schools across Fiji.
This annual grant program allows any teacher, from those in the country’s busy capital of Suva to the hardest-to-reach outer islands, to apply for funding to enrich the academic opportunities available for their students.
“By supporting schools with targeted resources, the FIJI Water Foundation is working to ensure that every student has access to quality education, preparing them for a brighter future in Fiji,” said Marie Smith, FIJI Water Foundation Manager. “Since the program’s inception in 2018, the Foundation has invested over FJ$4M in improving educational outcomes and providing critical resources to educators through our signature Classroom Grants program.”
Grants will support a range of initiatives, including new learning tools, resources for teacher empowerment, and the introduction of technology to elevate classroom experiences. The foundation aims to empower teachers and students with the resources they need to succeed, fostering both academic achievement and personal growth. In 2024, nearly 250 educators received grant funding totaling FJ$1.2 million towards educational programs and initiatives serving over 50,000 students across Fiji.
Applications for the 2025 Classroom Grants will close on 12 April 2025. Interested educators are encouraged to apply for funding to bring their ideas to life. Selected grantees will be notified in May 2025. For more information and to apply, please visit www.fijiwaterfoundation.org or contact grants@fijiwaterfoundation.com.
