First look at what The Belfry's giant new fitness centre in Sutton Coldfield will look like

A hotel and golf resort in Sutton Coldfield is expanding its fitness offer with a giant new fitness centre and swimming pools. The famous Belfry Hotel and Resort on the edge of the town is building The Club, a state–of–the–art leisure centre with a huge new gym, some five times the size of its current one. The new-look gym will have 50 pieces of the very latest Technogym equipment and will be ‘flooded’ with natural daylight, with views over the venue’s championship PGA National golf course. Read more: Planning applications for huge new £343 million employment park submitted It will sit above four studios where live classes will be held and includes a Pilates studio, with reformer Pilates machines, a yoga studio and a large-capacity spin studio with more than 30 bikes. As well as a new gym, The Belfry will also have two new pools with a dedicated 25-metre lap pool and a large family-friendly swimming pool complete with a flume slide. The new-look Belfry fitness site will also have a multi-purpose sports hall where tennis, netball and badminton can be played. In addition, the Club will have a sauna overlooking the grounds, indoor and outdoor bubble pools, a steam room and a feature shower. It joins the site's new Woodlands Adventures play area and is part of its £80 million revamp to the venue with a new banqueting suite and bedrooms overlooking the iconic 10th hole on the Brabazon course.
