Football news: Liverpool target sends cryptic message as Thierry Henry's Man Utd take slammed
@Source: mirror.co.uk
After tonight's match between Newcastle United and Crystal Palace , all 20 Premier League clubs will have just six matches to play. While there is still plenty to play for, not least in the battle for Champions League qualification, some fans have turned their attention to the summer transfer window. This year is a little different to most, with the window broken into two parts . That may matter more to those clubs involved in the Club World Cup, but teams from top to bottom will be in the market for reinforcements. At the top of the table, Liverpool are just two wins from clinching the title. The summer refresh might not be as dramatic as first feared after Mohamed Salah's contract extension , but they'll still likely be busy. Elsewhere, some clubs may see their business impacted by European qualification or lack thereof. Newcastle will feel better about keeping Alexander Isak if they seal Champions League qualification, while a Europa League triumph for Manchester United may make things easier for head coach Ruben Amorim. The last 24 hours or so have brought plenty of developments, both for this season and next. Here are Mirror Football 's latest lines from around the Premier League and Europe. Milos Kerkez has long been linked with a Liverpool switch, but the Bournemouth star has kept his cards close to his chest. After the Cherries beat Fulham on Monday night, though, he simply wrote "I am incomparable" in a new social media post. The Hungarian international has previously attempted to avoid being drawn into transfer speculation. “These are the things that my agent is on," he told The Athletic . "My dad is on. It is not something that they occupy me with because the season is still going, so there’s no point to talk about anything." Kerkez has been an ever-present in the Premier League this season and played the full 90 minutes on Monday as Bournemouth earned their first clean sheet in the competition since January. Jude Bellingham has moved to play down a training ground bust-up between himself and Real Madrid team-mate Antonio Rudiger. The incident reportedly happened as Los Blancos prepared for the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Arsenal , where they have a three-goal deficit to overcome. "It's football, it's normal on the pitch that emotions get high," Bellingham said at a pre-match press conference. "You communicate with teammates louder than you'd communicate with your mum and dad. "For every negative interaction you see, there's 20 positive interactions. That will get lost in the media which is fine, as long as the team respects each other to have those honest conversations." Sky Sports and Jamie Carragher have deleted social media posts after criticism was fired the way of Monday Night Football analysts Carragher and Thierry Henry. The pair were critical of Manchester United defender Leny Yoro during the broadcast. "I don't know why... I don't know what he is looking at," Henry said of Yoro when looking at United's defending for Newcastle's third of four goals against the Red Devils. "You're looking at the linesman trying to see if he is going to bail you out... on what I don't know. I don't know if he thought there was an offside, I don't know if he thought that someone... I don't know." A short clip was shared by Sky Sports and reshared by Carragher, but both posts have since been deleted after some argued the criticism of teenager Yoro went too far. A longer clip of Henry's analysis has been shared on the broadcaster's website. Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content.
