The event brought together superstars like Jay Jay Okocha, Taye Taiwo, Samuel Eto’o, Rigobert Song, Alex Song, Emmanuel Adebayor and a host of others, per Africa Soccer. President Traore, a military leader known for his hands-on approach, not only officiated the ceremony but also played in the charity match between the football legends and Burkina Faso’s Defence and Security Forces. Former stars of Burkinabe football were also in attendance, with Adama Guira, Alain Traore, and Charles Kabore representing the host team The newly renovated stadium is expected to serve as a key venue for Burkina Faso’s upcoming international matches. Ex-Super Eagles left-back Taiwo was among the stars who graced the rain-soaked pitch, adding flair to the event. He took to his Instagram handle to share a photo of himself and the country's leader.
