Former Wales international to swap regions and join rivals as new coach

The Scarlets are set to appoint former Wales lock Bradley Davies as a forwards coach.
Davies won 66 caps for Wales and has been learning his trade as a coach over the past few years. The 38-year-old is currently an assistant coach at Super Rygbi Cymru outfit Bridgend Ravens and is also an academy coach with the Ospreys.
WalesOnline understands the former Cardiff, Wasps and Ospreys lock is on the verge of joining Dwayne Peel's coaching team at the Scarlets for the 2025/26 season. Davies is slowly building a strong reputation within the Welsh rugby coaching circuit and is considered a very good lineout coach.
South African Albert van den Berg is currently forwards coach at the Scarlets and WalesOnline understands Davies would be coming in to work alongside the 51-year-old.
Former Wales hooker Emyr Phillips will also stay within the coaching team, focusing on the scrum and the academy.
It has been a frustrating season for the Scarlets who have been very competitive but have failed to close out a number of tight games. The hope is Davies will help improve a pack which has some quality in it, with the likes of Vaea Fifita, Sam Lousi, Josh Macloed, Taine Plumtree, Marnus van der Merwe and Ryan Elias, among others.
Davies' larger-than-life personality could also be beneficial in managing some of the club's academy and transition players, like highly- rated Llandovery second-row Will Evans who has been tipped to achieve big things.
