The Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra (OFM) will kick off the Estepona Classical Music Festival with a spectacular concert titled “Grandes Mitos de Peliculas” on Saturday, July 19, at 9pm in the Felipe VI Auditorium.
Conducted by Maestro José María Moreno, the event will feature a captivating selection of iconic film soundtracks, celebrating the works of the most famous soundtrack composers, such as John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Ennio Morricone, Alan Silvestri, Henry Mancini, and Klaus Badelt.
The programme includes much-loved pieces like the themes from Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Indiana Jones, and Schindler’s List by John Williams; The Prince of Egypt and Gladiator by Hans Zimmer; Cinema Paradiso and The Mission by Ennio Morricone; Forrest Gump by Alan Silvestri; Moon River and The Pink Panther by Henry Mancini; and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl by Klaus Badelt.
The free concert, organised by Estepona Council in collaboration with Malaga City Council and the Regional Government of Andalusia, is open to the public. Invitations can be collected starting Monday, July 14, at the Padre Manuel Cultural Centre (Calle San Fernando, 2) from 10am to 2pm and 5pm to 8pm, Monday to Friday.
The orchestra is a resident ensemble for prestigious events like the Jaén International Piano Competition and the Andrés Segovia International Classical Guitar Competition.
