Kenny Logan, the husband of broadcasting titan Gabby Logan , has shared a wedding day mishap that left his wife "fuming". The former Scotland Rugby player, who earned 70 caps for his country, recalled the incident during a chat with Vernon Kay on BBC's Tracks Of My Years. The couple, who met in a Fulham bar in 1999, tied the knot in 2001. However, their big day didn't go entirely to plan, with a mix-up over their first dance song causing some consternation. Discussing the Bill Withers song Lovely Day, Kenny described it as a "very nice track" but clarified: "It wasn't meant to be our wedding song." The pair had intended to dance to a George Michael hit and had even practised their moves the night before the wedding. Despite not being a "Strictly star"at that point, Kenny was prepared to sway along to the music. But when the big moment arrived, he revealed: "I am tone deaf on the music front and this is going to show you why. Next day, the first dance, what comes up, Lovely Day, Bill Withers, played the wrong track... "Gabby's went, 'It is the wrong track.' She is in my ear going, 'It is the wrong track, it is the wrong track.' We had such a lovely day and we are just dancing and I had no clue. Gabby was fuming." Vernon responded with laughter, saying: "I bet she was." Kenny concluded the story by adding: "And everyone is going, 'that is a lovely song', but it was the wrong song!" New Match of the Day host Gabby was just 25 when she first crossed paths with Kenny, and she has acknowledged that she told herself "not to screw this up" after instantly falling for him. The couple tied the knot and, four years into their marriage, welcomed twins Reuben and Lois following IVF treatment. Reuben, taking after his father's sporting legacy, has taken to the rugby field with Northampton Saints, while Lois pursues her passion in showjumping and is on the cusp of starting her studies at Loughborough University. The family faced a challenging period in 2022 when Kenny received a prostate cancer diagnosis during a routine health check. Prompted by his wife's Mid•Point podcast, he sought medical advice and ultimately underwent successful surgery to remove his prostate. Now, the ex-sports star dedicates his efforts to raising awareness about what he terms a "silent cancer", advocating for men to get PSA tests.
