From the rhythmic beats of traditional music to the vibrant hues of Kente cloth and the savory flavours of local cuisine, Ghana’s cultural heritage offers a wellspring of inspiration for creatives across disciplines.
With its growing impact on Ghana’s economy, the tourism, arts and culture industry continue to show strong signs and in a significant step towards celebrating Ghanaian identity, culture, and craftsmanship is the launch of the Ghana Gold Pendant at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on Saturday, April 26.
The event, themed, “Experience Ghana: Gateway to Africa,” promises to be a useful platform to project Ghana’s culture through tourism and entertainment, exploring Ghana’s music identity.
Organised by MentraxOro Jewellery, the launch is expected to give people across the world the opportunity to experience Ghana in its truest form through music, fashion, traditions, and world-class creativity.
According to the Head of Marketing of Mentrax refinery, the organisers, Mr. Victor Wellrich, the launch of Ghana Gold Pendant falls in line with government’s commitment to position Ghana as a preferred cultural and tourism destination in Africa.
The event, which is strictly by invitation, will bring together influential stakeholders from the tourism and creative sectors, public officials, diplomats, industry leaders, celebrities, and media personalities for an unforgettable night of elegance and inspiration.
In attendance will be the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative arts, Dzifa Gomashie, who together with the Ghana Tourism Authority, have been spearheading initiatives including the Ghana Heritage Month to bring into fruition President Mahama’s vision for the sector.
