The 23-year-old, who was signed in a £30 million deal from Watford in 2023, has been one of Brighton’s standout performers this season with eight goals and six assists in the Premier League so far. Arsenal, meanwhile, have suffered from a shortage of options in attack in 2025 due to injuries to Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz. Mikel Arteta has faced repeated calls to sign a new striker ahead of the summer transfer window but one of their top targets, Alexander Isak, is expected to be priced out of a move by Newcastle United. Pedro has also been linked with a move away this summer with Liverpool reportedly keen on a deal for the Brazilian forward. Joao Pedro has scored eight Premier League goals for Brighton this season (Getty) However, Poyet feels Arsenal would receive a major boost if they signed Pedro to bolster Arteta’s attacking options. ‘Joao Pedro can play for any Premier League team, including Arsenal,’ Poyet told mybettingsites.co.uk. ‘I met Brighton’s coach, Fabian Hurzeler, in Germany, and we spoke about football for hours like two little kids.
