Evergreen were crowned LFA Leinster Junior Cup champions for the very first time, beating New Oak (Carlow) 1-0 in the showpiece final in Bunclody. Team captain, Lee Delaney hailed 'Mr Evergreen' Gary Maher for his contributions to the club over the years. "We just don't know how he does it? He is Mr Evergreen," Delaney said after the match.
