Peter O'Mahony has gained a reputation for being a fierce competitor on the pitch over the years, and the Munster star carries that same discipline when it comes to his hobbies. The fond gardener doesn't like anyone messing with his manicured lawn, and that includes his family members. Peter's close pal and teammate Conor Murray recently recalled the gas run-in he had with his mother-in-law after she messed with his prize possession. Conor recalled how Peter was monitoring his garden whilst away on holiday and caught his wife Jessica's mum practicing her golf pitch on the lawn while she was minding the kids in the couple's Cork home. 'I remember being on holiday with Pete a couple of years ago, and he was checking his cameras at home. Pete's wife Jess' mum was minding the kids, and he looked at the camera, and her mother was practising her golf putt,' Conor said on The Good, The Bad & Rugby podcast. 'He got someone that was close by to call over to the house and tell her to get off the lawn. He is proper like no players on the pitch,' Conor laughed. The dad-of-one dubbed his pal 'the angry gardener', saying: 'He's always on edge, and then just as a gardener on the side. He spends most of his time out there. I think he needs it.' Conor also spoke about another time that Peter hit boiling point after his lawn was intentionally wrecked by some of his Ireland teammates.
