A woman's body has been discovered chained by the neck and weighed down underwater by two concrete dumbbells at a popular fishing spot in Thailand. Locals were horrified to see the body floating near the Ban Tha Yai pier in Phang Nga on Friday. Shocked witnesses immediately alerted the police, who rushed to the scene along with rescue workers. The identity, nationality, and address of the victim remain unknown as a murder probe is underway. She is believed to have been wearing grey shorts and a brown round-neck T-shirt, according to local reports. Officers estimate she had been dead for about two days before her body emerged from the murky water. One of the most unsettling details of this tragic incident is the heavy chain found tightly wrapped around her neck, attached to two concrete dumbbells. It's suspected that this was an attempt to keep her concealed beneath the water. Police lieutenant Pheerawit Chaichanyut issued a statement, saying: "This is a serious case, and we are treating it as a possible murder. The way the body was weighted down points towards an attempt to conceal it."
