The Scarborough General Hospital activated Emergency Mode for 48 hours due to a surge in patient admissions and capacity constraints across medical and surgical wards and as a result all elective surgeries have been suspended until further notice.
This was confirmed via release from the Tobago Regional Health Authority in Tobago on Tuesday night and reconfirmed by Health Secretary Dr Faith Brebnor during an interview on the Tony and Dale show, on sister station i95.5fm on Wednesday. More in this Elizabeth Williams report.
