In a packed sports hall at the centre, the Braidwood pupils got the chance to try a range of different sports and activities, including golf, archery and pickleball.
Natalie Pyatt from Birmingham Community Leisure Trust (BCLT), which operates the centre, said: “We were delighted to welcome Deaf World to Stechford Leisure Centre. The session was well attended, with a fantastic range of activities on offer. We look forward to future opportunities to support the important work Deaf World do in the West Midlands!”
Ashalam Qureshi, Project Development Director for the charity, added: “Deaf World would like to thank all the staff at the Stechford Leisure Centre for accommodating the Taster Day in partnership with Braidwood School. It was a wonderful day enjoyed by all and has led to delivering other sporting opportunities.
