Indian cricketers receive Rs30 million each for Champions Trophy triumph

Mumbai: The Indian cricket board has announced a cash reward of Rs580 million for the team’s triumphant unbeaten run in the Champions Trophy in Dubai..The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary, Devajit Saikia, said: “Rs30 million will be given to each player. Rs30 million will be awarded to head coach Gautam Gambhir, while Rs5 million will be given to each of the assistant coaches — Ryan ten Doeschate, Abhishek Nayar, batting coach Sitanshu Kotak, and bowling coach Morne Morkel. The remaining support staff will receive Rs5 million each, and BCCI officials will be awarded Rs2.5 million each.”.Second successive triumph.Team India continued their stellar white-ball run following the heartbreak of the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup final, securing their second successive white-ball trophy after their ICC T20 World Cup 2024 triumph. They clinched the Champions Trophy title by defeating New Zealand by four wickets in the final in Dubai on March 9..A BCCI press release stated: “The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is delighted to announce a cash reward of Rs58 crore for Team India following their triumph at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. They began their campaign with a solid six-wicket win over Bangladesh, followed by a convincing six-wicket triumph against Pakistan.
