Most Wickets in IPL 2025: Young Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmad, who finished the IPL 2025 match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai with figures of 4 for 18 in four overs on Sunday (March 23), is leading the Purple Cap race. The Rs 10 crore signing for CSK in the IPL 2025 mega auction has one more wicket to his name than the likes of CSK teammate Khaleel Ahmed, RCB’s Krunal Pandya, MI’s Vignesh Puthur and RR’s Tushar Deshpande.
In his first match of IPL 2025 for CSK, Noor, who was part of Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024, opened his wicket account by dismissing MI captain Suryakumar Yadav. Surya was stumped by MS Dhoni for 29 runs from 26 balls. Noor then got Robin Minz (3) caught out by Ravindra Jadeja on the fourth ball of the 13th over and then trapped Tilak Varma (31) in front of the wickets on the last ball of that same over.
For his fourth and final wicket of the match against MI, Noor clean bowled Naman Dhir. The Punjab-based cricketer scored 17 runs from 12 balls with the help of one four.
