Ishan Kishan Bowls In County Cricket, Imitates Warne & Harbhajan | Watch
@Source: news18.com
Ishan Kishan appears to be thoroughly enjoying his stint with Nottinghamshire in the County Championship.
Not only with the bat, with the gloves and with the ball in hand as well!
In his two batting appearances so far, the left-hander has displayed exceptional form, scoring 87 against Yorkshire and following up with an impressive 77 against Somerset.
The 26-year-old wicketkeeper-batter surprised many by handing over the gloves and taking up bowling duties, reminiscent of MS Dhoni’s brief departure from wicketkeeping during a Test against New Zealand in 2014.
During a rain-affected, drawn match against Somerset at Taunton, Kishan showcased a rarely seen aspect of his game. On Wednesday, he was unexpectedly given the ball and seized the opportunity. In his over, Kishan experimented with both off-spin and leg-spin, even switching to bowling around the wicket. He started the over, mimicking Harbhajan Singh’s bowling action and later imitated the legendary Shane Warne while delivering a leg-spinner, much to the amusement of teammates and fans.
In fact, Kishan’s over turned out to be the final one of the match as the Indian star’s spell figures read 0 for 1 from a single over.
A clip of this moment was shared by the official County Championship social media handle.
