Jason Day has revealed his clothing at this year's Masters will be 'toned down' after his loud clothing at last year's event caused an uproar.
The Australian caused controversy during the opening round at Augusta National year when he wore baggy blue pants and - after the round continued the next day - a bold sweater vest with large branding from Malbon, who sponsor him.
It read 'No. 313 Malbon Golf Championship' in extremely large font, and stood out as many fans and viewers criticized Day's sartorial choices online.
Day, who finished tied for 30th last year, said to reporters at the time that he was told by tournament organizers to take off the sweater vest.
He also wore a pair of baggy khaki-colored pants later in the tournament which featured an oversized pocket on the side.
However, it appears that Day's outfits will be quieter this year, as he revealed in a recent interview that Masters organizers asked to see his clothing choices before the tournament.

Day also raised eyebrows with his baggy pants during the tournament at Augusta National
He told the Dan on Golf show that his outfits would be 'toned down' for this year's tournament
'If they would have let us do what we first put the scripting through to them, it would have been a lot crazier than last year,' he told the Dan on Golf show.
'But, you know, it'll be toned down, just because... they asked to see the scripting before,' he said.
He went on to admit that this was the first time that the tournament requested to see his scripting ahead of time.
'I've always been pretty neutral and down the middle, and this year they asked because obviously what happened last year,' he said.
As reported by Golf.com, Day previously told reporters that Malbon - who will be dressing him again this year - had planned some 'bold stuff' for this tournament that he wasn't sure would be approved.
Day has also raised eyebrows with his attire at other tournaments, including one in February.
Day also wore an all-gray sweatsuit during the final round at Pebble Beach in February
He played a practice round on Monday in a more muted white polo and olive-colored pants
During the final round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in February, he wore an all-gray sweatsuit or 'groutfit' to close out the tournament.
On Monday, however, he donned a more subtle outfit during a Masters practice round.
The 37-year-old wore a white polo shirt embroidered with an 'M' on a front pocket, along with a pair of olive-colored pants.
Regardless of what he is wearing, Day will be looking to add the second Major of his career this week after four career Major finishes in second place.
His lone Major win was in 2015 when he won the PGA Championship, though he is a 13-time winner on the PGA Tour.
