Kanwar Yatra 2025: In light of the upcoming Kanwar Yatra during the holy month of Shravan, the Gautam Buddha Nagar Traffic Police has announced significant traffic diversions for heavy, medium, and light goods vehicles. The diversions will be in effect from 10 PM on July 11 until July 25, aimed at easing traffic flow and ensuring the safety of pilgrims. DCP Traffic Lakhan Singh Yadav confirmed that the route changes apply to vehicles travelling towards Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Hapur, and Moradabad. However, ambulances, essential goods vehicles, and government transport are exempt. Noida Diversions Goods vehicles from Chilla Red Light headed towards Ghaziabad, Hapur, or Moradabad must now use the Eastern Peripheral Expressway via the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. Similar diversions apply to vehicles coming via DND Flyway, Delhi-Badarpur Border, or Okhla Barrage. Trucks from areas like NIB, Model Town, Chhijarsi, and Taj Highway will also be redirected to the Eastern Peripheral. Vehicles using the MP-01 elevated road will also shift to the same expressway. Greater Noida Diversions From Aligarh, Bulandshahr, Sikandrabad via NH-91 Dadri towards Delhi: Take the Eastern Peripheral Expressway. From Pari Chowk to Delhi: Vehicles from Secunderabad and Kasna will be diverted via Sirsa roundabout. The road from Chilla Red Light to Pakshi Vihar Gate will remain completely closed to vehicles.
