THE Lady Chevrons are packing their bags for an Irish invasion!
Zimbabwe’s senior women’s cricket team is set to tour Ireland next month for a five-match white-ball series as they continue their march on the global stage.
The tour features three explosive T20Is in Dublin on July 20, 22, and 23, followed by two high-stakes ODIs in Belfast on July 26 and 28.
Hot off their historic tour of the United States in April, the Lady Chevrons are hungry for more international action and Ireland is next on the menu.
“This tour presents us with an excellent opportunity to challenge ourselves against quality opposition in tough conditions,” said head coach Walter Chawaguta. “It’s the perfect chance to sharpen our skills and build winning momentum.”
The series will also serve as a crucial warm-up for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier Division One, set for Namibia from August 31 to September 6.
All eyes are now on the Lady Chevrons as they aim to make Ireland green with envy!
