Nathan Dean, Costa del Sol entertainer and charity campaigner, has just announced that he is organising a Late Summer Soirée on September 16 to raise funds for AFA Fuengirola – Mijas Costa, (the Association of Relatives of Alzheimer’s Patients and Other Dementias).
Following 2024’s phenomenally successful event, he has decided to repeat the fundraiser in September 2025 back at Bobby Jones and Spikes, Miraflores Golf, on Tuesday, September 16, and tickets are already on sale.
This year’s event will feature singers Laura Carter with some great music from many genres as well as Alexandra Avery with fabulous music with twists of cabaret, and, of course, your host for the evening, Nathan Dean. Organised in conjunction with Simply Thriving Group, and sponsored by Euro Weekly News, Ibex Insurance, Spikes and Miraflores Golf, tickets for this special event are €45 each (€10 of which goes directly to AFA) and includes a welcome cava, 3-course dinner and wine or beer during the meal. There will be a raffle with amazing prizes, and guests are invited to ‘dress to impress’.
Nathan is inviting local businesses to add themselves to the list of sponsors and anyone to contribute to the raffle prizes. Already this year, Sunview Adventure Park and Splash Watersports have generously donated prizes, and no doubt by the end of the summer, the raffle prize list will be the biggest ever. But whose contribution will make the biggest, most generous prize? Contact either Nathan Dean on 684 459 498, or Val Williams from Simply Thriving Group at valwilliams39@yahoo.com.
Tickets are currently available from the Pool Bar, Cerros del Alguila, from 12.30pm to 2pm, Thursdays (starting June 12); Dave and Jo at Biddy Mulligans (La Cala de Mijas) on Wednesdays from 12.30pm to 2pm (starting June 11); and La Placita on Thursdays from 12.30pm to 2pm (starting June 12). And for those who can’t make it to this exceptional event, donations are still very welcome for this vital cause.
On purchasing tickets, make it known to Val Williams or Nathan Dean your choices from the menu below. Last year’s event sold out quickly, and tickets for this year’s one will fly, so be sure to get your tickets early!
