Liverpool transfer news: Three huge stars to leave as £150m deal edges closer
@Source: dailystar.co.uk
Liverpool have bolstered their squad with the addition of Milos Kerkez, who has been officially announced as Arne Slot's latest recruit, with more on the way. The full-back sealed a £40million transfer from Bournemouth to join the Reds. Following in the footsteps of Florian Wirtz, Kerkez inked a five-year contract at Anfield. This acquisition pushes Liverpool's spending to a hefty £170m since the season's conclusion. The club continues its diligent efforts to mould Slot's team, with persistent rumours linking them to a new forward as Darwin Nunez's future seems uncertain at the club. The Uruguayan striker is attracting attention from Italy, with Liverpool willing to bid farewell after the former Benfica star struggled to secure a spot in his head coach's starting line-up. Nunez might not be the only one departing, with speculation surrounding Federico Chiesa, Andy Robertson and Harvey Elliott. After finalising his transfer, Milos Kerkez disclosed that Liverpool was his sole choice and elaborated on the significant roles Richard Hughes and Arne Slot played in his decision. "As everyone knows, [Richard Hughes] brought me to Bournemouth and was [a] big part why I came to Bournemouth," he stated. "Obviously also [important] is the gaffer – I also had talks with him. I really knew when I talked to him and Richard that this is it for me, so that was my decision. "We [he and Slot] discussed the tactics and the plan, and where he sees areas for my improvement and how I can contribute to the team. It's a big deal when a coach takes the time to chat with you, it shows respect. Liverpool's goalkeeper Harvey Davies is off to Crawley Town on a season-long loan. The 21 year old goalie had a stint at Crewe Alexander in the 2023/24 season but hasn't yet debuted for the Reds. Davies, who has been named in 18 matchday squads, has been with Liverpool since under-9s and inked a new contract before linking up with the League Two outfit. "I'm chuffed to bits to be here," said Davies, "I've had some brilliant chats with folks at the club and they've made me feel valued and welcomed." I had a top-notch conversation with the gaffer who really sold the club to me and said he wanted me on board, so it was an easy decision to make. ". A whopping £150m bid might just get Newcastle United to the table to discuss Alexander Isak, according to the Athletic. Liverpool are reportedly keen on the striker who has become a linchpin for the Magpies in recent seasons. The Swedish international has three years left on his contract, but a fresh deal could be in the pipeline if Newcastle can charm him. If it weren't for the club's Champions League spot and their Carabao Cup triumph, Isak's future might have been up in the air. Reports hint that Liverpool might try to coax both player and club into an agreement, but they're not holding their breath for a positive outcome. Isak is at the heart of Newcastle's vision under PIF's stewardship. For the latest breaking news and stories from across the globe from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletters .
