THE upcoming annual sports tournament at Andimba Toivo Ya Toivo Secondary School has received a significant boost with pledges of support from local leaders, aiming to foster unity, national pride, and youth engagement through sport.

This substantial contribution comes with a condition: the full amount will be awarded if the school’s teams emerge victorious.
Adding to the support, Nicodemus Amadhila, a member of the Ondangwa Management Committee, has committed N$500.
This amount will be specifically divided between the best goalkeepers for the girls’ soccer and boys’ Under-15 soccer categories, recognising individual excellence on the field.
Councillor Negonga emphasised the broader vision behind such initiatives, stating,
“The aim of the tournament is to ensure that we foster a culture of unity, national pride, and youth engagement,” he said.
He stressed that the overarching goal is to create a nation rooted in sport.
