FIRST the world, now Warrington!
All-conquering Luke Littler, 18, is being made a a citizen of honour by his home town.
The Nuke was named the 2024 BBC Young Sports Personality of Year before winning darts' World Championship last month.
And after that Ally Pally glory, there was a particularly unusual example of his growing status as a local hero.
Warrington Buses displayed a glowing tribute on the electronic board at the front of one of their vehicles.
But that recognition earned cult status as the bright yellow caption managed a spelling mistake.
It read: "Congratulations, Luke Litter! [sic]. World Champion."
Now it's being proved that you can wait ages for one local honour and suddenly two come along.
That's because Warrington Borough Council are ready to formally salute his contribution to the community.
Littler's roll-call of achievements has been crammed into an astonishing 15 months since reaching the 2024 world final aged 16 - and peaking when he lifted the Ally Pally crown last month.

Days later, Littler paraded the trophy at his beloved Manchester United.
The Nuke has amassed 11 senior PDC titles, also winning the Premier League, Grand Slam and Word Series Finals.
But his appeal and success extends well beyond just crowns.
The popularity of darts has swelled as dramatically as his trophy cabinet, largely thanks to the Nuke.
He's also played a major role in Prostate Cancer UK raising more than £1milion and also supports the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Meanwhile, Rugby League team Warrington Wolves will change their venue name from the The Halliwell Jones Stadium to the Luke Littler Stadium - for one night only.
That's for Friday's Super League clash against Catalans Dragons.
So put the bull to one side, it seems the Nuke has also hit the maul's eye!
