JACKSON -- Lumen Christi kept the play at Macomb Lutheran North’s end much of the way, and led much of the way, in Tuesday’s Catholic League girls soccer game at Crowley Memorial Field, but a late equalizer from the Mustangs resulted in a 1-1 tie.
Lutheran North made a late change which paid off well, pulling goalkeeper Logan Solo out of the net and putting her up top for the final 10 minutes of the game. In the 73rd minute that resulted in Solo creating an opportunity up top which Mustangs freshman Ava Zangara finished off.
