RangeGoats GC’s Matthew Wolff has pulled out of this week’s LIV Golf Dallas event due to an injury. Wolff was expected to star in the LIV Dallas event and will be disappointed to miss out on the event. The American had a rocky spell with Smash GC under Captain Brooks Koepka before joining RangeGoats GC earlier this season.
Wolff’s Injury Woes Continues
The LIV Golf Dallas event began on Friday at Maridoe Golf Club with a 54-hole tournament and a $25 million prize fund. But just before the event started, LIV Golf announced that Matthew Wolff would withdraw from the tournament due to an injury, delivering disappointing news for RangeGoats GC.
This marks the second time in as many events that Wolff has been forced to withdraw. Just two weeks ago, he also exited mid-round at LIV Golf Virginia after suffering what reports described as a muscle strain. His replacement at the event Ollie Schniederjans, shot an impressive 4‑under to help RangeGoats top the team leaderboard.
The details around Wolff’s current injury remain unclear, but it raises concerns about his fitness as the season progresses. With back-to-back withdrawals, it is natural for questions to arise about his condition and how it might affect the rest of his season.
Schnierderjans Replaces Wolff Again
Ollie Schniederjans is once again Wolff’s replacement after previously replacing him at LIV Golf Virginia. The Dallas event is a key stop on the LIV Golf calendar, with players battling for team and individual points. Losing a player of Wolff’s calibre is certainly a blow for RangeGoats GC, but it presents another opportunity for Schniederjans to prove his worth.
