Max Greenfield's daughter just celebrated a major birthday – but he wasn't invited.
The actor, 45, spoke with PEOPLE at the premiere of the Netflix series Running Point at The Egyptian Theater in Hollywood, and shared that although his daughter Lilly had just celebrated her 15th birthday, he and his wife Tess Sanchez were not on the guest list for her party.
"We had a fun dinner for her. We had a couple dinners, but she went out with her friends. We were not invited," he jokes. "We paid for it, but we weren't invited. I don't know how that works."

Greenfield and Sanchez share Lilly and son Ozzie, 9.
Greenfield and his daughter were often seen together on the New Girl alum's TikTok account, dancing in videos and taking part in some of the viral trends. However, the dad of two says that because of the recent ban, they had a little break from the app.
"I was fine with it going away," he admits. "I was like, 'Okay, here we go.' And I was like, 'Alright, let's put this to bed.' But then it came back four hours later, and now I'm like, 'What the f--- do we do next?' "
"I haven't reinvested yet, but maybe I will," adds Greenfield.
In 2021, the couple spoke with Parents for the magazine's October 2021 cover story, opening up about their parenting styles and the rules they want their children to live by.
"We are pretty relaxed about everything, except how they treat and talk to other people. The only time we ever get mad is if we see the kids being thoughtless," Sanchez said. "They know they always have to be kind and have compassion."
"We tell them- that your friends, your teachers — everyone you meet — has a story, and you should be interested in it," Greenfield added.
Running Point premieres Feb. 27 on Netflix.
