Fijian Drua blindside flanker Etonia Waqa dedicated their 28-14, win over the Waratahs to his family and fans.
The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua forward was named the Home Basics Player of the Match during their Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific clash at Churchill Park, Lautoka, last Saturday.
The Lomati, Nabukelevu, Kadavu, native said they have been fighting for a win in the last five rounds.
“It was sweet to secure our second win at home,” Waqa said.
He indicated that they have now shifted their focus to Moana Pasika.
“We will need to complete sets once we reach the 22m line,” Waqa said.
“We’ll need to score a try or get some points.”
He acknowledged the fans for their continuous support despite their five consecutive losses.
“This win is for my family, my mother and the fans.
“They continued to support us and show up to our matches. We have been trying so hard to get a win.”
