Twenty-five players will report to the Glow Lamp Soccer Academy in Abreshia, near Elmina, on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, for the Under-16 camping as they continue preparations for the upcoming Guadeloupe U-16 Invitational tournament next month.
The players were selected following a series of intensive screening exercises at the Glow Lamp Soccer Academy over a two-week period, which included trial matches against lower-tier sides.
Former Ghana International Nii Odartey Lamptey led the screening exercises as Head Coach, assisted by John Oppong Welbeck, Awudu Issaka, and Theophilus Daitey, the Welfare Manager.
The technical team will now prepare the selected players for the tournament, which will also feature U16 players from Mexico, France, Brazil, Ivory Coast, and Togo.
The tournament will play a crucial role in the team’s development, preparing them for future international competitions.
